I’ve always been a dreamer, this is why I love to paint. To inspire your imagination in this realistic world. Living in the Okanagan I am very blessed, there is so much natural inspiration here. I have a passion for nature and I’m inspired to paint landscapes, animals and botanicals. When the world is seen in colour it can bring so much joy and to capture that on canvas is a living dream. I love to push the limits when I paint to see how far imagination can take us.
Canadian artist, Mandi Irmen, grew up in the Okanagan. She is inspired to paint animals, nature, and botanicals and loves to paint them in a colourful and imaginative way. Mandi is a self taught artist, she works mainly with oils and acrylics on canvas, but also uses acrylics to beautify fun items like skateboards and pottery. Although she has been an artist all her life, she discovered 5 years ago that her true calling is to make art.
She is a member of The Okanagan Artists of Canada, and has had works on display at Gallery Vertigo, Vernon Community Arts Center, The Armstrong Art Gallery, Village Green Shopping Center, Creative Chaos, and The Okanagan Artisan Show. Mandi is currently based in Vernon, B.C.
